Chase now has an imaginary friend. It is a pet Crocodile! he feeds the crocodile, plays with him, takes him to the bathroom, sings it songs, carries him in his pocket??? (not sure why) and puts him to bed. He even makes us talk to Crocodile and today I had to give Crocodile kisses at nap time. Then tonight at bed time he asked that Crocodile hang out with Bill and I on the couch.
At first Chase had a fear of Crocodiles so Bill and I kept telling him that they are good and not gonna hurt him and we would tell him not to be afraid. Then all of a sudden he has a friend Crocodile.
I did a little research online and apparently the way this all played out is very normal. I was also a little concerned that maybe he was to young but from what I read "imaginary friends" happen between 3 and 5 and since Chase will be 3 in a week I guess I have nothing to worry about.
