First Day of School

Chase's first day of School was yesterday! He was sooooooo excited! we had previously told him when he learned his ABC's and 123's he could go. So once he was able to count to 10, count to 4 in Spanish (he calls Spanish Dora) and sing the ABC's (kinda) he started asking us again. So since I have been job hunting we started calling around to look at places and they all told me I should start him out slowly before enrolling him full time since he has not been in daycare or really left with any babysitters. We enrolled him into a place down the street on Tues and Thurs from 9 to 12. (six hours a week)

When we first got to the school (we were early) Chase was fine. It was just me, Chase and the teachers but, as soon as the kids started showing up Chase hid behind me and would not come out. One of the teachers tried to get him to join in with "circle time" but he refused. The teacher finally told him he could sit at the table and watch circle time, He did do that! Finally I left.
When I came to pick him up they said he did "start" to warm up but still wasn't sure. Chase told me he loved school and wanted to go back. He was so proud of him self and has not stopped talking about it! He says "we played out side till it rained then we had snack, made a craft and read lots of stories".
